Creating Safety Within: Facilitating the SAFE Method at the Self-Determination in Education Conference
At the 2024 Self-Determination in Education Conference, I facilitated a SAFE Method workshop focused on ‘Safety in Self’. With 70+ Koorie Education Support Officers in attendance, we explored how honesty, story-sharing, and cultural self-awareness lay the foundation for creating safe spaces in education and in ourselves.
Trade Routes: Co-Hosting a National Conversation on Indigenous Business
In 2023, I co-hosted RMIT’s Trade Routes podcast with Jaynaya Winmar, discussing Indigenous business, global trade, and SupplyAus’ success importing 120 tonnes of sanitiser during COVID. We explored how Aboriginal-led enterprises can thrive internationally while staying grounded in culture and sovereignty.

Standing for Culture: My Closing Address in Vancouver
In 2017, I closed the Developing Sustainable Communities Conference in Vancouver with a message about culture, responsibility, and legacy. I received a standing ovation — not for performance, but for truth. That speech became a defining moment on the path to creating the SAFE Method, and one of the highlights of my life.
