Indigenous to Indigenous: Building Trade and Connection in Samoa
In 2017 and 2018, I led cross-cultural school camps to Samoa with Donvale Christian College, helping build Indigenous-to-Indigenous trade through service learning. These experiences connected First Nations people across the Pacific and laid the groundwork for a new model of cultural exchange — one built on mutual respect, learning, and long-term partnership.
Standing for Culture: My Closing Address in Vancouver
In 2017, I closed the Developing Sustainable Communities Conference in Vancouver with a message about culture, responsibility, and legacy. I received a standing ovation — not for performance, but for truth. That speech became a defining moment on the path to creating the SAFE Method, and one of the highlights of my life.
