Shawn Andrews, MBA (Exec), BSOR
Founder – Buneen Consulting | Chair – Dreaming Futures

Shawn Andrews is a proud Mununjali and Migunburri man of the Yugambeh language group, and a direct descendant of the Tomes, Wheeler, and Clark families — including the strong matriarchs Jidda and Granny Clark. His work is grounded in cultural legacy and driven by a clear vision: to build safe, strong, and sovereign futures for First Peoples.

With more than 20 years of experience across strategic development, Indigenous empowerment, education, and systems change, Shawn has become a respected leader in cultural transformation — both in Australia and internationally.

He is the founder of Buneen Consulting, co-founder of SupplyAus Holdings, and Chair of the Dreaming Futures Charity, a national initiative focused on empowering Aboriginal children in out-of-home care. His leadership has also helped take Dhuwa Coffee, the first Aboriginal-owned coffee brand, to more than 900 Woolworths stores nationally — a powerful example of Indigenous excellence in enterprise.

As Principal Policy Advisor for First Peoples Energy with the Victorian Government, Shawn led the development of the First Peoples Renewable Energy Strategy, embedding cultural governance and economic opportunity into Victoria’s energy transition. He continues to advise boards, facilitate truth-telling processes, and support organisations to embed cultural safety and long-term change.

Armed with an MBA Executive from AGSM, a Bachelor of Sport and Outdoor Recreation, and executive leadership training from Harvard Business School, Shawn blends academic rigour with deep cultural integrity. He has been recognised with multiple honours, including the Wanbil Lee Ethical Business Leader of the Year and the Indigenous Business Month I2I Award.

Shawn is known for his SAFE Method — a strengths-based model for personal, organisational, and systems transformation — and is a sought-after speaker, facilitator, and strategist working at the intersection of truth, healing, and leadership.

Whether in community, boardrooms, or on global stages, Shawn leads with clarity, calm, and purpose — always committed to creating spaces where First Peoples can thrive.
