Finishing What I Started: My UNSW AGSM MBA Executive Journey

I never imagined obtaining a degree, let alone an MBA.

In 2024, I completed my MBA Executive at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) University of New South Wales (UNSW) — a milestone that took me six years to achieve, but one that I’ll carry with pride for life.

It wasn’t easy. Balancing study with business, community work, and family life pushed me beyond what I thought was possible. There were moments where it felt too hard — too much. But I kept going, step by step, subject by subject, driven by purpose and the vision I hold for our people.

And I loved it.

A Graduation to Remember

The graduation itself was unforgettable — not just for the achievement, but for who was there to witness it. Seeing my AGSM classmates walk the stage, many with their families in the crowd, was a powerful reminder of what this journey meant to all of us.

But the most meaningful part?

Having my girls there to see me graduate.
To see their dad finish something that started years earlier, despite every obstacle.

That moment was the highlight — not just of my study, but of the legacy I hope to leave for them.

Why This Matters

For me, this isn’t just a degree. It’s a statement:

Aboriginal people can achieve anything we set our minds to.
We can lead global conversations. We can drive strategy.
We can sit at any table — without compromising who we are.

Education is one of the tools we can use to rebuild systems, challenge bias, and design futures that are strong, sovereign, and ours.
